A Mother's Prayer

Oh give me patience when tiny hands
Tug at me with their small demands.
And give me gentle and smiling eyes;
Keep my lips from sharp replies.
And let not fatigue, confusion or noise
Keep me from sharing my child's new found joys.
And most of all, help me to look above
When at times I think I have no love.
For You have promised to bear my load
As these precious lives unfold.

First Solids

Natalie is 4 months and 6 days old today. She had her first solids today. Dr YY Yip said it was fine to introduce 1 solid meal a day so Mommy bought Heinz rice cereal.

When Mommy first put the spoon into Natalie's mouth, her face was all wrinkled up. After the first mouth, she got excited and started kicking her legs. She also were holding held on to Mommy's hands so tightly, wanting to put the spoon into her mouth herself. The rice cereal was all over the face. It was then that Mommy realized she has forgotten to wear a bib. Now we need to get a proper chair to sit Natalie during her 'mum mum' time.
